Current projections indicate that the next Dusk will not be brief. If the forecast remains stable, its duration may be comparable to approximately one month of human civil time.
What This Means
A Dusk is not an engineered attack, a political action, or a declaration of hostility. It is a naturally occurring cosmological disaster whose onset cannot be scheduled, negotiated, or prevented by ordinary means.
Most known Dusks are limited in duration. The present forecast is different. Current models repeatedly converge on an extended interval long enough to affect continuity, observation, communication, and the stability of ordinary records.
Human observers should treat this notice as an early warning, not as a countdown. The exact beginning remains uncertain.
If this forecast is correct, communication may become unreliable for a prolonged period. Do not assume that silence means absence. Do not assume that a missing record means nothing happened. Do not assume that two surviving copies will necessarily agree.
